Biologist or Pharmacist – Clinical Biochemistry Lab (CHU Réunion)

About the role

The CHU de La Réunion is seeking a qualified Biologist or Pharmacist to join the Biochemistry Laboratory on the North site (Saint Denis). The role involves transversal activities across both CHU sites, supporting routine biochemistry, emergency biology projects and on‑call service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory‑service interactions and manage the EBMD Steering Committee.
• Evaluate performance of decentralized analytical devices and produce annual activity reports.
• Maintain the EBMD quality system: documentation, non‑conformities, action plans and quality indicators.
• Oversee analytical quality (CQI, EEQ) and staff training, habilitation and competence maintenance.
• Participate in routine biochemistry work and on‑call duties (approximately one week out of four, including weekend mornings).
• Contribute to the upcoming emergency biology project for SAMU/Urgences (2026‑2027).

Required profile

• Degree in Medical Biology or Pharmacy with experience in clinical biochemistry.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management and accreditation processes.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and manage multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Experience with automated analyzers: GEM5000, Hemochron Signature Elite, Hemochron GEM100, Quantra, Triage Meter Pro.
• Familiarity with middleware platforms GemWebPlus and Aqure.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems: INLOG, SAPANET, ARMURE, VALAB, SCANLAB, BYG‑EVM.
