Full Stack Engineer (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to contribute expert-level code, debugging strategies, and development insights to a variety of open-source and internal projects. This remote contract position offers flexible hours (10-40 hrs/week) and competitive compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Write and contribute high-quality code samples, debugging techniques, and architectural insights in Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++ or TypeScript.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks across diverse codebases.
• Design and implement robust new features with a focus on scalability, maintainability and best-practice standards.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve readability, efficiency and long-term reliability.
• Document technical reasoning, solution approaches and code decisions to enhance AI training data quality.
• Review and validate peer-submitted code and technical contributions for accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• Significant hands-on expertise in at least one of the listed programming languages.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and core software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems, resolve bugs and deliver effective optimizations.
• Experience modernising large, legacy codebases and delivering high-impact features from concept to production.
