Design Engineer – FreeCAD Expert (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Design Engineer with deep expertise in FreeCAD to create objective, assessment‑ready question‑and‑answer sets for complex multi‑part CAD assemblies. This contract position is fully remote and offers flexible weekly hours.

Key responsibilities

• Author precise, non‑guessable Q&A sets based on multi‑part mechanical assemblies.
• Analyze detailed mechanical designs to craft questions focused on geometry and assembly relationships.
• Ensure each question has an exact, verifiable answer requiring domain expertise.
• Deliver high‑quality written content that demonstrates technical clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate asynchronously to clarify requirements, review feedback, and iterate on deliverables.

Required profile

• Extensive background in mechanical, aerospace engineering, or industrial design.
• Significant experience with multi‑part assemblies and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Proven ability to author detailed technical questions or training material for engineering applications.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing objective, assessment‑ready content.

Required skills

• FreeCAD (or comparable CAD platforms).
• Advanced CAD modeling of multi‑part assemblies.
