Mechanical Engineer – Remote CAD Expert

About the role

This contract position seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to review and interrogate complex multi‑part CAD assemblies in FreeCAD. The work is fully remote and supports AI training data creation.

Key responsibilities

• Review complex multi‑part CAD assemblies in FreeCAD format and analyze design intent.
• Author clear, objective technical questions with exact answers based on assembly details and functions.
• Develop unique questions for each assembly to ensure comprehensive coverage of structure and function.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to provide feedback and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated background in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or industrial design with strong CAD knowledge.
• Proven track record authoring technical documentation or assessment materials.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• FreeCAD or similar CAD software.
• Interpretation of multi‑part assembly drawings and technical documentation.
