Software Developer – Remote Contract $80/hr

About the role

We are seeking a remote software developer to tackle self‑contained coding and logic challenges on a contract basis. The role involves translating unfamiliar problems into robust, testable solutions while working independently in terminal‑based environments.

Key responsibilities

• Solve coding, debugging, and technical reasoning puzzles, selecting appropriate algorithms and data structures.
• Implement efficient solutions in a suitable programming language and ensure they are reproducible and testable.
• Identify ambiguous requirements, edge cases, and hidden assumptions, and develop tests to validate correctness.
• Develop tests and verification methods that distinguish genuinely correct solutions from superficially plausible ones.
• Debug incorrect behavior across code, tests, dependencies, and environment configuration.
• Review AI‑generated code, pinpoint logic errors, and correct constraint violations.

Required profile

• Strong algorithmic problem‑solving ability and experience with debugging unfamiliar code.
• Proficiency in at least one general‑purpose programming language such as C++, Python, Java, Rust, Go, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to work independently in terminal‑based development environments.
• Clear written and verbal technical communication.
