Aerospace Design Engineer – Remote Contract ($40-$80/hr)

About the role

This remote contract position focuses on creating and answering technical questions for complex aerospace assemblies. You will work with detailed FreeCAD models, translating design intent into clear, objective documentation for educational or reference purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Author multi‑part, objective questions about aerospace assemblies that require precise technical answers.
• Review and analyze FreeCAD files to understand complex mechanical relationships.
• Develop high‑quality question sets for each assembly, highlighting key features and part interactions.
• Provide well‑researched answers referencing assembly data and design documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure technical accuracy.
• Maintain a standards‑driven approach and contribute to documentation improvements.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or industrial design with strong CAD fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑part CAD assemblies and interpreting complex technical drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or comparable CAD platforms.
• Track record of authoring precise technical questions and answers in an educational or documentation context.
