Mechanical Design Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to review complex multi-part CAD assemblies in FreeCAD format and develop precise technical questions to support AI training data. This is a remote contract position offering flexible weekly hours.

Key responsibilities

• Review complex multi-part CAD assemblies in FreeCAD format and analyze design intent.
• Author clear, objective technical questions with exact answers based on assembly details and functions.
• Develop unique questions for each assembly to ensure comprehensive coverage of structure and function.
• Ensure clarity and precision in all questions and answers to support AI training data requirements.
• Leverage expertise in mechanical engineering or industrial design to identify key assembly features.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to provide feedback and suggestions for process improvement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated background in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or industrial design with strong CAD knowledge.
• Expertise in interpreting multi-part assembly drawings, technical documentation, and CAD files.
• Proven track record authoring technical documentation or assessment materials.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or similar CAD software environments.
