Legal Data Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to uncover trends, risks and opportunities.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs for legal relevance.
• Support regulatory compliance by translating emerging requirements into data‑driven processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve legal workflow efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Map external regulatory intelligence to internal data models and validate content accuracy.
• Assist in implementing data‑governance practices for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong legal subject‑matter expertise (litigation, regulatory compliance, contracts, IP, or privacy law).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation.
• Experience with large language model prompting and evaluation (optional but beneficial).
