IT Support Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Remote IT Support Specialist to provide Tier 2/3 assistance to users across a variety of platforms. The role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues while delivering clear, user‑friendly communication.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems using industry best practices.
• Provide OS support for Windows, macOS, and Linux, including guidance on TCP/IP, VPN, and DNS connectivity.
• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and user interactions in a ticket management system.
• Contribute process insights to improve support workflows and training data.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the team and communicate technical concepts effectively in writing and verbally.
• Identify recurring issue patterns and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering Tier 2/3 IT support.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software across multiple platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPNs, and DNS.
• Proficiency with ticket management systems and thorough documentation practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focused on user‑friendly explanations.
