Remote Microbiologist – $90/hr Contract

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Microbiologist to join our remote team on a contract basis. The role focuses on investigating microscopic organisms and supporting AI-driven data projects in the medical microbiology space.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze development, morphology, and behavior of bacteria, fungi, and algae.
• Support studies on the relationship between microorganisms and disease, especially in medical microbiology projects.
• Assess the impact of antibiotics and other agents on microbial populations to improve AI model accuracy.
• Document experimental findings clearly for integration into AI training data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure scientific rigor and data integrity.
• Provide written and verbal expertise on microbiological phenomena for both real‑world and computational contexts.
• Use rubrics and evaluation criteria to assess data quality for AI workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of bacterial, fungal, and algal systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in investigating microbial structure and physiology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to document processes and findings clearly for AI integration.
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote, digital‑first environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
