Private Equity & Investment Funds Attorney

About the role

We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our team on a contract basis, focusing on private equity, investment funds, and related transactional work. The role is fully remote, offering flexible hours between 10 and 40 per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review, annotate, and provide practical insight on a wide range of transactional agreements.
• Analyze credit agreements, banking documents, and technology service agreements, delivering structured feedback.
• Contribute expertise in investment funds, asset management, private equity, and corporate/commercial law.
• Clarify legal language to support AI learning frameworks and draft sample clauses.
• Identify key risk areas in contracts and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals to benchmark standards and share best practices.

Required profile

• JD from an accredited law school preferred; LLM considered with exceptional experience.
• Strong background in private equity, investment funds, M&A, or asset‑management legal practice.
• Demonstrated experience with transactional documents such as MSAs, SPAs/APAs, LPAs, DPAs, side letters, and NDAs.
• In‑depth knowledge of contract‑heavy work in investment funds, banking & finance, technology/SaaS, and data privacy sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on clarity and precision.
